Master thesis  onderzoek

In augustus 2020 voltooide ik (cum laude) een Master of Science in sociologie aan de Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam, Nederland. Voor mijn master scriptie won ik de 2020 ARC-GS MSc Thesis Prize van het Amsterdam Research Centre for Gender and Sexuality op de Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA), voor mijn scriptie ‘Queer creations between a rock and a hard place – Art practicing LGBTQ+ forced migrants unsettling Dutch hegemonies’.

Een onderdeel van dit onderzoek was Art for Change, een kennis co-creatie project waarin 10 LHBTQ+ vluchtelingen creative werken publiceerden op dit online platform. De master thesis werd later aangepast en herschreven in samenwerking met Maria Rast en Halleh Ghorashi en werd tevens het eerste hoofdstuk van mijn dissertatie: Research as Relation - Reimagining Scholarship through Queering, Art and Care with LGBTQIA+ Refugees (verwacht).
